How Scoring is Calculated
The matching algorithm uses several factors to determine the best matches:
- Brand Name Match: 100 points for exact brand name matches
- Strength Match: 100 points for exact strength matches, 50 points for close matches (within 10% difference)
- Route Match: 50 points for matching routes of administration
- Form Match: 50 points for matching dosage forms
Total scores are calculated as follows:
- Exact Match: 300+ points
- Close Match: 200-299 points
- Partial Match: 100-199 points
